Diploma in Security and Risk Management

The goal of this program is to provide Security knowledge and skills of and upgrading the qualification of existing security officers/supervisors/managers in the Maldives reflecting on international best practices. In addition, this course intends to produce qualified personnel into the Maldivian security industry and prepare them to serve the various needs of the sector.

• To enhance the professional knowledge and practical skills of existing security officers, supervisors, and managers in the Maldives in line with international best practices.
• To upgrade the qualifications of security personnel, enabling them to meet evolving security challenges and operational demands within the Maldivian context.
• To develop strong leadership and management capabilities among security professionals to effectively lead teams and manage security operations.
• To strengthen competencies in risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and security risk management to ensure proactive and effective response mechanisms.
• To promote safe and compliant working environments through improved understanding and application of occupational health and safety principles.
• To equip participants with the skills necessary to manage and protect physical and organizational assets efficiently.
• To prepare qualified and competent personnel to serve the diverse needs of the Maldivian security industry, supporting national safety and resilience.
