Police Initial Training Course

Overview

The Police Initial Training Course is a 4-month program designed to provide foundational training for new recruits. The course includes modules on physical training, drill and general conduct, crisis intervention, use of force tactics, lifesaving skills, communication, study skills, and personality development. It also covers law and procedure, policing and human rights, investigation skills, and scenario-based training to prepare recruits for real-world challenges. The minimum requirement for participation is successful completion of the recruitment process. The course fee is funded by the MPS.
