Closing Ceremony of Special Constabulary Course - 9

The National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, Addu Campus, yesterday concluded the 9th Special Constabulary Basic Training Course, marking the successful completion of a four-week training programme aimed at strengthening the professional competencies of Special Constabulary Officers.

The closing ceremony was officiated by the Head of Administration of the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, Director General, Ismail Safhath, who attended as the Chief Guest.

The course commenced with 22 Special Constabulary Officers, comprising 16 male and 6 female officers. A total of 21 officers successfully completed the training programme, while one participant withdrew from the course due to a medical reason.

Throughout the four-week programme, participants underwent training in Physical Training and Lifestyle Fitness, Drill, Use of Force and Defensive Techniques, Law, Communication and Policing, Security Skills, and Life-Saving Skills, including Basic First Aid and Basic Fire Control.

The programme was designed to strengthen the knowledge, practical skills, discipline, teamwork and professional standards required of Special Constabulary Officers, enabling them to effectively support policing duties and serve the community.

During the closing ceremony, Special Constabulary Constable Ali Sahaaf Fathuhee (S1626) was recognised as the Best All-Round Student of the 09th Special Constabulary Basic Training Course in recognition of his outstanding overall performance throughout the programme.

The ceremony was attended by the Executive Director of NCPLE, heads of departments and units, the Head of the Special Constabulary Unit of Addu City Police, NCPLE officials, and parents and family members of the graduating officers.

The successful completion of the 9th Special Constabulary Basic Training Course reflects NCPLE’s continued commitment to developing capable, disciplined and professional officers equipped with the competencies required to contribute effectively to the Maldives Police Service and the communities they serve.
