National Security and Digital Leadership Forum 2026

The Home Team Advanced Leadership Programme hosted the National Security and Digital Leadership Forum, bringing together senior leaders, policymakers, law enforcement professionals, cybersecurity experts, and international partners to discuss the future of cybersecurity and national resilience in the Maldives.
The forum highlighted the growing importance of digital resilience, cybersecurity governance, institutional readiness, and international cooperation in addressing emerging cyber threats and protecting national security.
The programme featured a keynote address by Minister of State for Homeland Security, Labour and Technology Dr. Mohamed Kinaanath on the Maldives’ vision for a secure and resilient digital future, an expert lecture on “Cyber Threats & International Response” delivered by Kevin Andy from the INTERPOL Cybercrime Directorate, and a high-level panel discussion on National Security and Cyber Resilience moderated by Dr. Rishweena Ahmed, with panellists Mohamed Riznee from Cyber Security Agency of Maldives, Dr. Kinaanath, and Mr. Kevin Andy.
Throughout the day, participants explored topics including cybercrime, digital governance, institutional resilience, operational readiness, public-private partnerships, and leadership in the digital age. The forum reinforced the importance of a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach to building a secure and trusted digital nation.
