Commencement of Instructor Development Course by INTERPOL CBT at NCPLE

The INTERPOL Capacity Building and Training Directorate (CBT) has commenced its flagship Instructor Development Course (IDC) at the National College of Policing and Law Enforcement Addu Campus on 27th September 2026.
The program was inaugurated by the Executive Director of National College of Policing and Law Enforcement, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Abdul Rahman during a special ceremony held at the NCPLE Addu Campus today morning.
During his speech at the opening ceremony, Assistant Commissioner of Police Ahmed Abdul Rahman highlighted the milestone NCPLE has achieved in bringing the first international program to its Addu Campus.
A total of 23 participants from 13 countries representing all the INTERPOL-designated zones have participated in the program.
This is a specialized intensive training designed to equip law enforcement officers with teaching methods of foundational and advanced teaching methodologies. The main focus of the program is on adult learning principles, instructional system designing and effective delivery methods for modern law enforcement training.
Participants are expected to learn to design original lesson plans using instructional system design models, improve their public speaking, presentation techniques, enhance engagement strategies, and improve performance evaluation.
Apart from the primary objectives, the program also allows bringing law enforcement officials from various member states together, enabling strengthening of international police cooperation efforts.
