Closing Ceremony of SWAT Basic Course and SOT in Dh. Vaanee Campus

The closing ceremony of the SWAT Basic Course and Special Operations Training was held on 17 August 2026.

The ceremony was honoured by the presence of the Minister of Homeland Security, Labour and Technology, Ali Ihusaan, and attended by the Commissioner of Police Ahmed Mohamed and executive officers of the Maldives Police Service.

Constable Shamil Mohamed was recognised as the Best All-Round Student of the SWAT Basic Course, while Sergeant Hassan Rushdhee received the award for Best All-Round Student of the Special Operations Training.

The successful completion of the training was strengthened by the valuable support and assistance of the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Special Forces and the Military School of Medicine.

In recognition of their invaluable contribution and support, appreciation plaques were presented to the respective institutions, including Kandimma Maldives, as a token of gratitude for their assistance and cooperation throughout the training.
